Legal Counsel for Commercial Litigation

Each attorney in our office in San Jose has deep experience in resolving commercial disputes through negotiation and, where necessary or advisable, through litigation.

We have helped clients in every major courthouse in the San Francisco Bay Area, including all the principal superior courts (i.e., the superior courts of Santa Clara County, Alameda County, San Mateo County, San Francisco County, Santa Cruz County, and Monterey County).

Moreover, the types of cases that we have handled have been wide-ranging, including disputes concerning vendors, suppliers, joint ventures, partnerships and licenses, just to name a few.

Our cases may involve simple breach of contract, or they may be quite complex involving multiple parties and -- more and more frequently -- international aspects.

If you have been sued, or are contemplating a lawsuit against someone, and you are uncertain about your legal rights, please do not hesitate to contact us for an initial free consultation.  We would be pleased to evaluate your legal issue, and provide guidance on your options.

California Commercial Litigation Attorney

From simple to complex cases, each commercial litigation lawyer in our office is experienced with defending commercial lawsuits as well as representing plaintiffs in such matters.  Where appropriate we recommend early alternative dispute resolution (such as mediation or neutral case evaluation) as an alternative to protracted litigation.  However, where a case appears to require a trial to resolve the commercial dispute, then we work aggressively and zealously represent our client's legal rights in court, from the initiation of the suit through any trial, whether by court or jury.

Choosing the right commercial litigation lawyer for your case may be a daunting task.  That's one of the reasons why we offer an initial free consultation for prospective clients, like you.  It gives you the opportunity to confidentially discuss your legal matters with one of our lawyers to evaluate your legal rights, without immediately retaining legal counsel.  If after consulting with us, you would like to engage our law firm to assist you with your commercial dispute, then the process is straightforward and fast.  Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email now.

California Commercial Arbitration

In addition to commercial litigation, we also assist clients with commercial arbitration.  In fact, commercial litigation may be unavailable to resolve certain commercial disputes (for example, where the relevant commercial contract includes an arbitration provision requiring arbitration in lieu of litigation to resolve contractual disputes).  We have familiarity resolving cases through arbitration with the principal American arbitral forums, including the American Arbitration Association ( AAA), National Arbitration Forum, and JAMS.

International Commercial Arbitration

The internationalization of business, and the growing popularity of the Internet for conducting business, has increased the shear volume of international disputes.

Because of the potential complexity of resolving international cases through the courts of multiple countries, many international business contracts include a provision for the resolution of disputes through international arbitration, specify what law will apply to the resolution of such disputes (i.e., a choice of law provision), and specify where an arbitration will take place (i.e., choice of forum provision).

Your particular international contract very well may include such a provision for the resolution of your dispute.  If it does, then we can provide guidance for the efficient resolution of the international disagreement, where the contract provides for the application of the law of the United States, or California law.

If your contract requires international arbitration for the resolution of a particular dispute, and the resolution of the dispute under the law of the United States or California law, then we can assist you with the major international arbitration forums, including the American Arbitration Association ( AAA), World Intellectual Property Organization ( WIPO), National Arbitration Forum, London Court of International Arbitration, Japan Commercial Arbitration Association ( JCAA), China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission ( CIETAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre ( HKIAC), and Korean Commercial Arbitration Board ( KCAB).

If you would like an initial free consultation with an international commercial arbitration attorney to evalute your case and your rights, then do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone
