Breach of Lease Litigation / Future Rent Litigation

In addition to our eviction practice, we also represent landlords and tenants in breach-of-lease litigation, where a landlord seeks past-due rent, future rent through the balance of the lease and other damages.  Often, these lawsuits are brought after a tenant has abandoned premises or has been evicted through the unlawful detainer process.  A tenant who has abandoned commercial premises or has been evicted may still be responsible for the payment of rent through the expiration of the lease, less any mitigation on the landlord's part.
